About

Michael Hewitt leads the BI and Analytics team at Hunt Brothers Pizza, based in Nashville, Tennessee. He works at the intersection of data engineering and business strategy — building end to end analytics solutions that business users actually trust and use.

His background spans Microsoft-based BI solutions across healthcare, distribution, and manufacturing, including custom Power BI training developed and delivered for the Department of Defense. His technical focus today centers on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, DAX, and the practical craft of building data models that hold up under real-world use.

Michael co-organizes the Nashville Power BI User Group and speaks regularly at community and industry events, including FabCon, DataTune, and Day of Data events.

Outside of work, he’s a husband, father of three, a leader in his local church, and someone who’s just as likely to be found drumming, woodworking, or out hiking.

Kishron Data takes its name from Bezalel, the Spirit-filled craftsman in Exodus 31 entrusted with skill, intelligence, and knowledge in every kind of craft — the idea that technical mastery and purposeful work are deeply connected. That’s the spirit behind this site.

Kishron Data exists to make complex data work accessible — practical writing on Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and the discipline of building analytics that people actually use. Whether you’re writing your first DAX measure or architecting a Fabric lakehouse, the goal is the same: clear, useful insight you can apply today.
